International Taijiquan Day

Den 21 mars firas Internationella Taijiquan Dagen över hela världen.
I Sverige kommer det firas genom ett samarbete med China Cultural Center i Stockholm och Svenska Kung fu & Wushuförbundet vid två tillfällen: den 17 mars hålls ett öppet seminarie i Taiji med professor Wu Dong, Ph.D från Beijing Sport University.
Den 18 mars en blir det en mottagning på China Cultural Center, vid Kungsträdgården i Stockholm med kinesiska ambasaden.

Wu Dong, Ph.D. is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Beijing Sport University, where he serves as Dean of the Institute of Chinese Traditional Sports. A Beijing Municipal Outstanding Teacher and recipient of several national teaching awards, he began practicing martial arts at age six and is an international Tai Chi champion and 8th Duan Chinese Wushu master, as well as a national-level referee.

Professor Wu has developed more than 20 university courses, led major national research projects on traditional Wushu and Tai Chi standardization, and published 40+ academic papers along with numerous books and teaching materials. His research on traditional Wushu philosophy and historical manuals is widely recognized, and he has been listed among the top most cited scholars.

 

He has produced numerous educational videos for organizations including the International Wushu Federation and Chinese ministries, and has appeared on major media such as CCTV, People’s Daily, and China Daily. Wu Dong also collaborates internationally on Wushu development and was one of the creators of the Tai Chi Zen system together with Jack Ma and Jet Li.

An active global ambassador of Chinese martial arts, he has taught and lectured in more than 30 countries worldwide.
